Ceramic Horn: It is one of the oldest and best-known talismans.

Throughout history, its shape has accompanied and characterized customs across different eras and cultures. The horn boasts ancient origins and has, over time, become one of the emblems of traditional craftsmanship and superstition.
The association of the horn’s shape with fertility and prosperity dates back to the dawn of time.

In prehistoric times, in fact, the power and vigor of an animal were judged by the size of its horns, which thus soon became an auspicious symbol often displayed outside huts as a sign of good luck.

Over time, the superstition linked to its symbolism did not lose its appeal; on the contrary, depending on the era and culture, it sometimes even took on mythological connotations. It is no coincidence that warriors and commanders wore, for example, helmets and ornaments that resembled animal horns.

Over the centuries, these amulets became imbued with an ever-increasing number of meanings and functions: it was believed, for example, that they warded off the evil eye and brought good fortune. Soon these objects and their makers gained growing popularity, inevitably creating an even stronger bond between this talisman and Neapolitan culture.

According to superstition, for the horn to fulfill its function, it must first be red—the color of power and victory—and handmade so that the artisan who shapes it can infuse it with energy.
